Some days, I guess you just need a $10 sandwich. And with it apparently being monsoon season in Atlanta, it seemed like one of those days.

Braised short ribs (braised in what, I’ll need to find out – rich enough that it could have been butter and duck fat – but that would be confit… mmmm, short ribs confit – there’s an idea), with pickled onions and – horrors – cilantro. Why the cilantro, I have no idea (I won’t go into my issues with cilantro – well documented elsewhere). It was a gratuitous and pointless addition to a pretty damn good $10 sandwich.

Oh, yeah – the bread was really, really good too. But you already knew that…
I ate that sandwich yesterday, it rocked. I love cilantro, so it didn’t bother me, but i agree, it could have done without. There was plenty of greenage.
We know each other from meet up. I thought you might find this article on “1879: Epigram of Lamb” intersting. In fact, you may be the only person I know who *would* enjoy it. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/12/magazine/12food-t-000.html?_r=1&ref=dining
